Melkior Begins Drilling at Carscallen, West Timmins, Ontario

OTTAWA, ONTARIO – Melkior Resources Inc. (TSXV-MKR) (“Melkior”) has commenced a diamond drill program on its 100% owned Carscallen gold project, in West Timmins, Ontario.  The drilling program will consists of approximately three holes totalling a minimum of 2000 metres.

The drill program will focus on the contact area between the granite and the mafic volcanic rocks, specifically where the Shenkman vein system intersects the contact. Analysis of the spatial distribution of gold within the Shenkman system suggests that gold grades are higher as the zone reaches the granite – mafic volcanic contact area. The drilling program began on September 7th 2012.

Melkior has retained Laframboise Drilling Inc. to drill the 2000 metres and the program will be supervised and managed by GeoVector Management Inc., an Ottawa-based geoconsulting company. This Press Release was prepared by Dr. Eric Hebert, P.Geo of GeoVector Management Inc.
