| Melkior
Resources Inc. ("Melkior")
(TSX VENTURE: MKR), is pleased
to announce that it has completed its summer drill
program on the Timmins West Project in Carscallen
Township in Timmins, Ontario. A total of 2846 metres
of NQ drilling was undertaken in 48 drill holes.
The purpose of the drill program
was to extend the strike length of existing gold
mineralized systems and to provide drill intercepts
of the vein systems at regular shallow intervals.
These drill results can be used to focus future drilling
in areas of maximum potential economic interest and
provide a better understanding of the gold bearing
structures.
In this program, the majority of
the drilling was conducted in the 1010 Vein Area.
Thirty three holes were drilled along 425 metres
of the established strike length of the 1010 Vein.
Nine holes were drilled into the
ZamZam Zone and five into the Shenkman Area linking
the vein systems together. The ZamZam Zone now has
a strike length of 525 metres. One hole was drilled
into the Jowsey Vein Area.
Geological analysis of
the core is about to begin and vein material will
be sent for assay results. The availability of
the results is based on receipt of assays from the
laboratory.
Drilling has been completed on
the Launay and Trojan gold projects sand assays have
been received. These are being evaluated by Melkior's
consultant and will be integrated with historical
data from the two projects. The results will be presented
upon receipt of the of the geologists report on Launay
and Trojan. |
